International Exhibition of Contemporary Art
NordArt is an international exhibition of contemporary art held every year at the Kunstwerk Carlshütte art centre in Büdelsdorf, Germany. Bringing together artists from all over the world, it offers a platform for diverse artistic perspectives, cultural exchange and encounters with new approaches in contemporary art.
NordArt presents a wide range of artworks — including painting, sculpture, installation and photography — in a truly unique setting. What sets the event apart is the way it blends the industrial heritage of the historic Carlshütte site with contemporary artistic expression, a combination that opens up a dialogue between cultures, artistic experiences and different forms of creative expression.
As an international platform for contemporary art, the exhibition gives artists the opportunity to have their work seen alongside the artistic experiences and perspectives of many different cultures.

Artist Statement — Yekta Novin
"In my work, I strive to establish a state of balance that symbolizes the essence of life — an essence present in every particle of existence. My aim is to depict how experiences take shape and evolve, and to highlight the void of meaning in modern society.
In searching for the roots of life, the mysteries hidden in womanhood and fertility were also revealed to me. As I learned to pay attention to the narrative side of myths and legends, I drew inspiration from them to create images that bind animal and human identities together — images that forge a symbolic relationship between form and content.
In the series "My Realm," I work with abstract, animal and human origins — origins that give rise to a mysterious relationship between living beings and human consciousness. The central theme of my work is the loss of attention to the true meaning of the bond between humans and animals."
